Who’s responsibility is it, or better yet who determines what homes are in need of repairs due to Sandy? Once those determinations are made who then makes sure those repairs were made? Does anyone ever think that maybe some of our homeowners aren’t doing the work prior to issuing a co? I know of several homes that were issued cos when in fact they made 0 repairs just cosmetics, to the eye the house may seem ok, but what lies beneath is a totally different story.

I personally contacted both the code enforcer and the building department regarding the home I rented and to no suprise at all that home was issued a co and new tenants are now living there.

A fly by the night inspection is insufficient considering the amount of water that entered that home which I have documentation from FEMA as well as photos. There was no insulation or Sheetrock replaced, just a fresh coat of paint.

I understand our officials have a load of work and are dong their best but this in unacceptable. Before we talk about backfilling the entire town why don’t we talk about ensuring that the homes are fixed and inspected properly.

I received a call from Patty at Highlands Solution Center about a bed for my daughter. I came by on Sat at 11am but no one was there. I dont have the phone number to call. Plz call me back at 602-803-4413 and let me know when someone will be in the office. We still have the need for a bed. Thanks.
